Mt. Olive

Instead of Toxic Chemicals they use Effective Microorganisms. It was originally developed as soil microbial inoculants in 1982 by Dr. Teruo Higa from Japan, based on the concept that crops grow better through nurturing the soil without using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. EM is a complex culture of selected beneficial microorganisms, which include photosynthetic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and yeasts. When applied to soil or water, EM activates the existing good microorganisms. It leads the majority neutral microorganisms to exert beneficial effects and harnesses the bad microbes. Today, EM technology has a wide range of application, and has been introduced to many countries to restore a healthy ecosystem through the power of nature.

A sustainable organic farm provides organic healthy food while benefiting the environment and all the living things around. Being organic means that we don’t use any chemical pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or synthetic fertilizers. Our fruits and produce are not genetically modified and our farm animals are not injected with hormones or antibiotics.
